The delegation paid a one day visit to the Dushan Port Area, Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, Pinghu Economic Development Zone and East-Lake Scenic Area of our city. They said that the economic and social development of Pinghu has made phenomenal progress in these years; as the first station to integrate with Shanghai, Pinghu is now making its effort to blend into the Yangtze Delta actively.
Shi Yunliang, the Standing Committee Member of the Municipal Party Committee as well as the Deputy Mayor, welcomed the delegation with open arms and introduced the economic and social development of Pinghu in these years to our friends from Shanghai. Shi Yunliang said that, Pinghu is a rising open city in the Yangtze Delta with quite strong supportive capacity; it has remarkable industry characteristics, high degree of opening-up to the outside and honest people; as the No.28 of national top 100 counties (cities), Pinghu has ranked among top 10 cities of Zhejiang Province for foreign investment and foreign export for several years; there are 13 world top 500 enterprises invested in Pinghu and now the opening of Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge makes the traffic more convenient.
Shi Yunliang hoped that the delegation could bring back the information they learned and encourage more Shanghai foreign-funded enterprises to invest in Pinghu.
