2008 China-Deqing Investment and Trade Symposium was held successfully on April 28 to 29 in our county.
More than 300 businessmen from over 10 countries and regions including America, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. attended this symposium. A total of 58 projects reached the cooperation agreement or intention, including 26 foreign investment projects with a total investment of 600 million U.S. dollars and contracted foreign investment of 300 million U.S. dollars. Besides, there were32 domestic investmentprojects with a total investment of 4 billion RMB Yuan. Among those projects, there were 10 foreign investment projects each with investment of more than 10 million U.S. dollars, and 13 domestic investment projects each with investment of over 100 million RMB Yuan.
Hong Kong Yangtze River Delta Port Co., Ltd. will build Deqing Port Zone and Deqing International Logistics Centre in our county, which became a bright spot in this project signing; the total investment is 200 million U.S. dollars with 70 million U.S. dollars of contracted foreign investment.
The Wensli Group Corporation will take the Mogan New Countryside Construction (transformation of the old city) Project in Moganshan Town. The total investment is one billion RMB Yuan and this is the biggest domestic investment contracted project of this year.
The great success of 2008 China-Deqing Investment and Trade Symposium further deepens the development strategy of ¡°spearhead by opening-up and integrate with Shanghai and Hangzhou¡±, continuously shows our county¡¯s advantages in location, resource and industry, and is sure to promote the rapid development of our county¡¯s open economy.
