Japan is one of the major export markets of our province. In 2007, the export amount of our province to Japan is 8.83 billion USD, accounting for 7% of gross export of Zhejiang, in which: the export of textiles and garments is 2.615 billion USD and the export of consumer goods and gifts is 1.87 billion USD, both possessing high occupancy in Japanese market. In order to further expand and consolidate the share of Zhejiang export commodities in Japanese market and set up the independent exhibition platform of our province in Japan, our bureau has decided to hold the “2008 Zhejiang Export Commodities (Osaka) Fair” in late August of 2008 in Osaka, Japan. Our bureau will regard this fair as key overseas exhibition supported by our province and grant 70% booth fee subsidy. Municipal bureaus of foreign trade and economic cooperation as well as provincial-level foreign trade groups are expected to organize relevant enterprises to sign up for this fair.
