According to the Notice on Holding Training Course of Quality Safety Laws and Regulations of Key Export Market of Agricultural Produces in 2007 released by the Administrative Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the Administrative Office of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China SBMH [2007] No.124, to meet the challenge from raising quality safety standards for imported foods and agricultural produces and relevant certification and accreditation in the foreign markets, help the enterprises to set up traceable mechanism for quality safety, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of export of foods and agricultural produces and the relevant certification and accreditation, the Ministry of Commerce and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China have decided to hold Training Course of Quality Safety Laws and Regulations of Key Export Market of Agricultural Produces in 2007 in Hangzhou from August 14 – 15, 2007. Here are the particulars about the course.

1    Course

Focused on setting up traceable mechanism for quality safety for exported agricultural produces, to analyze the trade condition and development trend of export of agricultural produces in China; based on the export product structure and enterprise demand of this province, to introduce GAP application and HACCP, and the establishment of traceable mechanism for quality safety for exported agricultural produces and relevant certification and accreditation; to introduce key types and demands of certification and accreditation for foods and agricultural produces in foreign countries; to introduce working experience of quality safety administration for export of foods and agricultural produces in this province; to exchange experience on safety administration for foods and agricultural produces by enterprise representatives.

2    Date and venue

Date: August 14-15, 2007, to be registered after 12:00 AM, August 13.

Venue: Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Hotel (1 Wenhua Road, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, 83886888)

3    Candidate

Personnel from enterprises (mainly medium-small enterprises) for export of foods and agricultural produces in east region, from each municipal or county foreign trade and economic cooperation bureau, from entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau and from trade council for export of agricultural produces.

4    Fee

The training fee and the boarding fee of the personnel from the competent departments of the local people’s government are borne by the Ministry of Commerce. The non-government personnel shall take care of their own boarding fee; if requiring arrangement by the conference organizer, RMB 600 Yuan for each person.

Each municipal foreign trade and economic cooperation bureau and each branch inspection and quarantine bureau shall inform the enterprises and relevant departments in their local areas and report the name list for the conference to the Zhejiang Training Center for Foreign Trade and Commerce before August 8.
